La verdad es que estos fanáticos de Odín, antes de luchar, se drogaban con setas alucinógenas, lo que hacía que no sintieran ningún dolor frente a las flechas y a las espadas enemigas y los volvía aún más locos y sanguinarios. Mordían sus escudos, desgarraban la poca ropa que llevaban encima y echaban espuma por la boca. Una auténtica locura.
No temían a la muerte. Incluso esta (su muerte), era un tanto peculiar. Se creía que estos guerreros, después de morir, iban al Valhalla. Sus cadáveres eran introducidos en barcas ardiendo y eran enviadas al mar y, si estos vikingos tenían mujer, ellas también acompañaban el cadáver en su viaje, clavándose una espada en el pecho. Esta era la cultura vikinga.

Los berserkers, unos guerreros míticos, que dieron nombre a un tipo de combate, muy caótico y terrorífico.
En todas las etapas de la historia y en diferentes culturas han habido guerreros similares. Como en la época medieval podían ser guerreros con poderosos mandobles, que eran usados para causar una masacre entre la caballería enemiga. Ellos eran unos guerreros muy especializados y de elite, pues no todos podían dominar esta arma, además de ser muy fuertes físicamente. En muchas batallas, ellos eran la esperanza, pues la caballería era muy temida y letal.
Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
